Dryfish of Norway® - Freeze dried Cod

We are keeping up with changing consumer habits by innovating our new dried fish product line. We are launching a range of freeze dried white fish which is ready to cook and has an exceptionally long shelf life and also eliminates the requirement for cold storage and saves energy throughout the supply chain. All our freeze dried fish are from sustainable fisheries in Norway and are processed by harnessing the freezing arctic temperatures. The products will be available in the EU and USA during the beginning of 2023.
Preparation: To prepare the cod, just soak it in lukewarm or cold water for 60 minutes and cook. We've found that although great with only a 60 minute soak, some pieces may need a little more time to rehydrate completely. We recommend to rehydrate fillets until they look like store-bought pieces. These fillets are perfect for grilling or frying. They also can be cooked in a sauté pan and finished in the oven, or even broiled. It is completely up to you how you want to prepare them - the possibilities are endless. Once rehydrated, they look just like cod fillets you would get at your grocer's deli. You can expect 25+ years shelf life as long as the fillets are sealed in the can - and probably as many as 30 to 40 since there is no water or oxygen in the can to spoil them.
Once opened they will last: up to 1 year in a Zip Lock bag with refrigeration once opened but not re-hydrated, up to 60 days in a zip lock bag without refrigeration once opened, but not re-hydrated, up to 5 days in the fridge once they are re-hydrated.
These are perfect for storing and using for many years. You can have great tasting food in seconds with no mess and no waste - and it doesn't matter if the power goes out. You can open just one can at a time and in 60 minutes cook one or as many of these as you want however you would cook any other fresh seafood. It lasts longer than dehydrated and traditional canned food.
